ACCESSIBLE TOURISM 2

First of all, it’s important to distinguish every disability and learn the way to name each one correctly. We can’t refer to people with disabilities like “disabled person”, because they are not disabled, they have a disability. That’s why the correct term is “person with disability” or “person with a challenge” (visual challenge, hearing challenge, mobility challenge or reduced mobility …). This is a subtle difference, but it’s important to start to change the way people think about disability.
Knowing that every kind of disability has its own specific characteristics in order to get full accessibility, there are however some common actions which can ensure a high level of accessibility for the highest percentage of this community. There is no doubt that the main difficulties are those related to architectural barriers and signposting both indoor and outdoor, however it’s relatively easy to adapt the way of building in order to allow an universal access which become in an improvement for everybody. Against many people think about, money is not the main problem. To build an accessible environment is not much expensive than not to do it. Many times is just a matter of willingness.

This is a big "Tabu"
everybody want to help this people, but the really is that, you can do better sidewalks or broken the barrier, but ,this is the question...
If you have a hotel or another company, are you give work a disabel person?
Remenber...the presence is important as is part of the bussines...and the people want eficaccy and quickly.
don`t want to wait and hate the bad attentions.
I don`t say "if you are a disable person, you do all wrong" but the people think this!!!

It's true lots of people think that way, but anyway they are wrong. Why a person with any disability couldn't give a good and efficient service? Maybe you won't hire a person with a wheel chair to serve tables in a restaurant, but he o she can do a great job behind a reception desk in a hotel, a reservation office, an information office or a travel agency. To do a good or bad job depends on the kind of worker you are, good or bad, not on your personal circumstances.
